Merino Wool: A Better Sleep

PROBLEM

You all know the wonderful feeling of vitality after a great night's sleep. However, sleep problems constitute a global epidemic of up to 45% of the world's population. (www.worldsleepday.org) While you sleep, your body rests. The amount of energy your body uses and your blood pressure decrease. Heart rate, respiratory rate and body temperature decrease. Lack of sleep or lack of sleep causes many health-related illnesses, motor vehicle accidents due to carelessness, mistakes and accidents at work.

WHILE YOU SLEEP.

Recent research (www.sciencemag.org) shows that neurotoxic waste products accumulated in the waking central nervous system are only cleaned and repaired while you are having a good sleep so that your brain can function more effectively and better during the day. Therefore, getting a good night's sleep is critical to your overall health and well-being.

RESEARCH

According to studies, using a soft wool mat causes people to have a better sleep experience and improve their sleep quality.1 In a separate study on temperature, it was observed that the body temperatures of people who sleep with wool covers or blankets are more acceptable than those who sleep with cotton or acrylic covers.

PERFECT FOR YOUR BABIES

The proven benefits of raising our babies with products made from wool are known all over the world. Studies have found that babies who sleep on wool have reduced activity rates during sleep, thus providing a deeper, more restful sleep. This also contributes to the growth rate.

CONCLUSION

A study funded by the AWI (Australian Wool Innovation) conducted by the University of Sydney found that woolen pajamas and bedding provide a better night's sleep compared to other fiber types. The pilot phase of this three-year study tested woolen and non-wool bedding and sleeping bags with eight participants sleeping in cold (17°C) and neutral (22°C) conditions.

This study revealed that sleeping with wool bedding and wool pajamas improves falling asleep and sleep efficiency.

SO WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?

Sleeping with wool is a healthy, safe and proven sleep system for the whole family. You'll feel more comfortable and get a better night's sleep. Both you and your babies are renewed while sleeping with wool.
